Reinforcement of Local Democracy – LOD Project here takes the opportunity to promote results and activities of 14 LOD partner municipalities that have been implemented in cooperation with civil society organizations. Aiming to further strengthen and expand existing collaborations between representatives of civil sector and local authorities, the Reinforcement of Local Democracy – LOD Project issues first electronic newsletter which is joint product of all LOD Project stakeholders. The newsletter contains warm stories of children, individuals and groups that benefited from civic initiatives and through such initiatives got integrated into their local communities.
The concept of the newsletter followed the path of the LOD Project and it is based on inclusion of all LOD partners that assumed their participation in writing stories on implemented actions and projects in their communities. The stories highlight necessity and importance of stronger involvement of civil society and individuals, as well as problem of social inclusion of vulnerable groups. The newsletter will ensure greater chance for promotion of actions, positions and future plans of civil society organizations. Along with the stories, the newsletter contains current information and news, and it also has a learning part which interprets basic terminology connected to the EU cooperation and future integration processes. Also, inside the newsletter one can find information on LOD Project goals and partners.
The newsletter will present one of the communications channels for LOD Project and its partner to other sector stakeholders and BiH citizens, further promoting positive cooperation.
