Youth employability and retention programme (YERP)
About Project
The Youth Employability and Retention Programme will focus on the problem of high unemployment of youth and prevention of the brain drain. It is implemented in close cooperation with the governments, private sector and civil society. The key word is employability and the project will enable several hundreds of unemployed youth to find the job and to be able to keep it.
Objectives
Improvement of curriculum in 100 schools (in 14 municipalities) in order to make it more adapted to needs of labor market. Enhanced capacities of public employment services in order to better serve unemployed youth. Opening of 14 centers for information, education and counseling throughout BiH and dedicated exclusively to unemployed youth. Providing first work experience for more than 500 unemployed young persons through salary co financing scheme
